Description

There are 14 highest mountains in the world over 8ooo meters. We have 8 highest mountains over 8000 meters. Annapurna is tenth highest mountain. In Annapurna conversation area there are one mountain above 8000m 13 mountain above 7000m and 16 mountain above 6000m. Around Annapurna trekking is one of the best and rewarding treks in the Nepal. Where we can see two other highest mountains over 8000m height mt. Manaslu and mt. Dhaulagiri with Annapurna massif (I-Iv), Gangapurna, Tilicho peak, Lamjung Himal, Thorong peak and numerous peaks in elevation rise from the Annapurna range.

The trek stands on an altitude of 5416m on the throng-la pass, touching the edge of the Tibetan plateau. The trek goes counter clockwise. It is a classic trekking which provides magnificent view of mountains, traditional farming villages, Marsyangdi and Kaligandaki river, deepest kaligandaki gorge, cold desert, religious places and various types of ethnic groups.
